PST DISCIPLINARY AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE POLICY and RECEIPT OF TEAM HANDBOOK

The use of alcohol, illicit drugs, or illegal activity is incompatible with PST philosophy, personal and group safety, and state law. The use of tobacco products, alcoholic beverages, and/or illegal drugs is strictly forbidden during the competitive ski season (from the first dryland practice through the last competition). Involvement in illegal conduct or illegal use of the above mentioned substances is in violation of team rules. This will result in suspension from the next competitive event and community service to be determined by the PST Board. If such activity occurs during a competition suspension will be for the remainder of that event and the next competition. A second offense will result in dismissal from the team with no refunds issued. If the individual turns him or herself in prior to their actions being discovered, a reduction in consequences may be considered.

Violation can be acted upon only if a coach, parent, law enforcement official, team members, or chaperone reports the offender. Athletes will be asked to report their actions to their parents at the time of discovery. In any instance where illegal activity may have occurred, law enforcement may be notified.
