First Annual Lobster Palooza! – Friday Sep 14th, 2012

Friday, September 14th, 2012, 4:30 – 7:30 pm at Edgemont Ranch Picnic Area. Come and join us for a TGIF to remember! Durangourmet and the Durango High School Pro Start Team will be there cooking up an amazing lobster feast featuring live lobsters from the East Coast. Talk about live, the Stillwater Foundation will be live as well for musical entertainment. We will have Ska Beer and wine for those of you who can consume. Advanced Reservations required. The Warren Miller Film

November 14th, 2012.. at the Smiley Theater, with one showing at 6:30 pm. Doors open at 5:30 pm for a social cocktail hour, hors d’oeuvres, door prizes and give-aways. This fall, Durango Winter Sports Foundation and Warren Miller Entertainment brings you its 63rd winter sports film, Warren Miller’s . . . Flow State. Hosted by skiing icon Jonny Moseley, . . . Flow State is your annual reminder that winter is on its way. Warren Miller films attract a cult-like following and mark the official start of winter for sports enthusiasts everywhere. Warren Miller premieres are an experience and a phenomenon not to be missed.

The Annual DWSF Gala – Saturday Dec 1st, 2012

Saturday December 1st, 2012, 6pm at Fort Lewis College Ballroom.Come join us for a night to remember! The DWSF Winter Gala with a black and white theme, come dressed in black jeans or a tuxedo! We have two special inductees to our DWSF Hall of Fame, Dr. Kim Furry for her athletic prowess in Alpine skiing and Brent Brown with his positive nature and dedicated coaching over the last twenty years.The Winter Gala will feature live entertainment, cocktail reception, silent auction, dinner and hall of fame induction.  Join us for the best party of the year and kick off the winter season in style!

The SnowDown Spaghetti Dinner – Friday Feb 1st, 2013

The Durango Winter Sports Foundation invites the Durango community to our 12th annual Spaghetti Dinner which takes place on the evening of the Snowdown Parade, Friday, February 1st, at the Elks Lodge on 9th Street; just a half block from the parade route. Dinner will be prepared by Mutu’s Italian Kitchen  and served by our ski and snowboard teams. All proceeds Benefit Durango’s Winter Athlete’s on the Alpine, Freestyle, Nordic and Snowboard Teams. There will be two seatings – pre & post parade4:30 PM & 7:00PM.Dinner tickets:$9.00/adult
