Fundraising Ticket Sales Procedure
Welcome to the Durango Winter Sports Foundation. The following outlines ticket sales opportunities for all of our athletes. Athletes can earn their ENTIRE tuition and travel costs for the ski season!!! 20% of tickets sold by each athlete will go directly to the athletes Tuition and Travel fees! Athletes have the ability to sell tickets to the following fundraising events:
Tickets can be sold (and tuition $$$ earned) by the athletes in two different ways.
- Door to Door- Athletes can pick up tickets at Magpie’s (downtown Durango), and go door to door, selling tickets for the event. (exception… DWSF Winter Gala tickets are ONLY sold online). This option affords the athlete the opportunity to have the tickets in hand for sale. This will require a bit more attention to detail, as the athlete and parents will have to track each sale and are responsible for every ticket checked out. The advantage is the immediate sale at hand by giving the buyer their tickets or packages immediately. Magpie’s Newsstand Café at 707 Main Avenue will be our ticket hub. If you would like to check out additional tickets or exchange tickets, simply stop by Magpie’s or call Tom or Geri Mulligan at 259-1159. Identify yourself as a ski team member and have identification for security purposes.
- Web/Internet Sales – Tickets to the above events can be purchased on line HERE. Purchasers have the opportunity to indicate an athlete they would like credit for the purchase to go towards. So email blast your friends and family!!
Tickets to the above events are included in most of our Individual and Corporate Donor program offerings. If someone buys a package which includes one of the above events, either you or the foundation will get them a ticket prior to the event, or tickets will be at ‘Will Call’ of the event.
