Save the date for November 14th, 2009. This event officially kicks off the winter sports season. Stories are shared from the previous years, local dignitaries are honored and it gives the skiing community a gathering to celebrate the coming season. The Gala will be at Purgy's Lodge and Ray Duncan, founder of Purgatory Ski Area, will be inducted into the DWSF Hall of Fame. It will be a fun, nostalgic evening with food, live and silent auction items, dancing and cocktail reception.

Warren Miller's latest film comes to Durango on Tues, Nov 3 at the Abbey Theatre - 6pm and 8:30pm and Wednesday, Nov 4 at Miller Middle School - 6pm. Narrated by Jonny Moseley and presented in high definition, Dynasty showcases a blend of fresh cinematography and vintage clips from the past six decades of Warren Miller footage.

Food for all at the Elks Lodge, Friday, 1/29/2010 - $8 adult; $5 child. The Foundation hosts a spaghetti dinner, which takes place on the night of the Snowdown Parade close to the parade route. It has become a regular activity that compliments the Snowdown Parade for many families.
