Program Description, Focus, and Outline
The Purgatory Ski & Snowboard Team is putting together a town race league this season. Races will be open to all ages, and be comprised of teams of 6 competitors. Grab your friends, grab your collegues! Show the town what you’ve got!
Don’t have enough people to form a team? No problem. Individuals will be placed on teams once registrations are completed. Individuals will be notified of their team members. Races will involve both Alpine and Snowboard!

Rules and Logistics:
Teams will be comprised of 6 members.
- Best of 2 runs for each member will be eligible for team total.
- Best 4 times from 4 separate team members will count toward nightly team points.
- One female time must be counted.
- Only one “pro” time will be counted. “Pro’s” are considered current USSA members with points under 120, Any racer with points under 100 at any time in ski career. Any one with a nastar handicap under 10.
Fees:
Adult Team Fee: $325 for team of 6
- will include race entries for all team members and lift access for racers for the four scheduled races
Youth Team Fee (under 16): $150 for team of 6.

Scoring:
Nastar Handicapping will be used and handicaps will be totaled for a nightly team score. Team score will consist of the lowest 4 handicaps/team members that include only one “pro” and one female participant. Only one score from each team member will be counted each race day.
At the end of the four races, the lowest nightly score will be dropped and the top four race totals will be combined. The team will the lowest combined handicap score for 4 races will be the 2012 season champions.
