The Purgatory Ski and Snowboard Team has been working diligently on ways to reduce costs and pass those reductions on to our members. We are glad to announce that we have been able to secure secondary insurance coverage for all of our Team members, coverage that was provided to you when you registered as a member of USSA. A good number of our athletes do not compete in USSA events, but have been required to carry a USSA license as secondary coverage. This change in coverage brings a significant cost reduction to a large portion of our base, as many athletes will no longer have to purchase or become members of USSA to obtain that coverage.
IMPORTANT CHANGE: In all previous seasons, ALL athletes had been required to become registered members of the USSA organization in order to become members of the Purgatory Ski & Snowboard team. This requirement was true, even if the athlete did not participate in USSA events. As of November 8th, 2011, Athletes are NO LONGER required to obtain a license or join the USSA organization to be members of the Purgatory Ski & Snowboard Team. Athletes will have to join USSA ONLY if they compete in an USSA event or competition.
